Sam Longworth, more than anyone, epitomised the
two-fisted young hero of the late sixties and early seventies. He battled his
way through a series of exciting thrillers, before finding a second niche later
in his life as a frequent guest star in crime dramas, where his rugged good
looks made him the archetypal "guy too nice to be a killer".
