Nanowrimo Silver Age Success (1 December 2004)

Three of our Silver Age squad completed their nanowrimo novels this month, thus ensuring a plentiful supply of material for November Spawned. The novels in question go by the names of The Fear Man, The Foundling, and Being an Alien. Stay tuned for further details! – SWT


The Amazing Sound of Howard Phillips (1 November 2004)

Howard has now returned to Silver Age Books, bringing with him his new band, The Sound of Howard Phillips. Their first song is now available as a free download. It's all in our new Music section. – SWT


National Novel Writing Month begins (1 November 2004)

At least four and perhaps more of our Silver Age family are taking part in Nanowrimo this month. Good luck to all of them, and we look forward to reading extracts from the resulting novels in future issues of November Spawned! A meet-up of some of Birmingham's participants took place at the weekend, and an electronic record of the event was created. – SWT

New Words #5 Finally Begins to Sprout! (18 September 2004)

A treasure trove of material which was intended for the fifth issue of New Words has been discovered. The first two items to be made available are Dadylosa's Big Day, a satire of teen rebellion from the pen of Howard Phillips, and Klothe and Melenkius Take Centre Stage, by Stephen William Theaker, a play which might just possibly have been written shortly after reading Waiting for Godot. – SWT
