They meet unusual new friends, encounter vicious new enemies, and at least one of the party falls victim to violence! Another may well fall in love! And the others are sure to talk, argue, drink whisky and smoke cigars, if nothing else! This was the debut novel of the author, Stephen Theaker, and as well as the return of Professor Challenger and his friends, it features the first appearance in a novel of the cult characters Master Zangpan, the Mechanical Housewife and Milon the Assassin.
