One of the most mysterious aspects of the development of Silver Age Books has been the involvement of this raven-haired Hindu...

Rumour has it that she was responsible for providing the start-up costs of the venture, while others say she is in fact, more than that, the power behind the throne, a ruthless dictator who keeps an eagle-sharp eye on every aspect of Silver Age operations!

But when not exercising the more tyrannical side of her nature, she has been know to paint, releasing the terrible demons that live within her soul to feast upon the entrails of the fools who oppose her.

Even those closest to her have been known to make comparisons with Sadako, the terrible ghost of vengeance from the classic Japanese horror film, Ring. Rumour has it, that like those viewing the video tape in said film, anyone purchasing one of her paintings will die within a week, unless they make a copy of it and pass the curse on to someone else.

But that’s just a silly rumour... or is it?

Consider this: not a single one of her paintings has been sold to someone who lived to see another Christmas.

One way or another, Silver Age Books was induced to appoint her artist in residence. She went on to paint the covers of Quiet, the Tin Can Brains are Hunting! and Elephant, and to produce interior artwork for Theaker's Quarterly Fiction #4 and cover artwork for Theaker's Quarterly Fiction #9, although it's worth mentioning that in the latter case she was working to a ridiculously short deadline.

It took a while for her to turn from illustrating fiction to producing it, but a very early attempt can be seen in the evocatively-titled Love Me Or Die!

As with so many people, it took National Novel Writing Month to really get her writing. Her first novel, Being an Alien (written in 2004) was serialised in November Spawned.

In 2006 a one-off short story, "Gertrude and the Thringrar", appeared in TQF #9.

Her second novel, A Mouthful of Ashes (2005), will eventually appear, appropriately enough, in Theaker's Quarterly Fiction, just as soon as she finishes editing it.
