Most Serious of the Silver Age

After finishing a PHD in Philosophy, Harsh Grewal decided to work in a bank in order to pay the rent. At night he writes. His first short story, Sister Lovers, was published in New Words 4.

Harsh is a strangely intense man, as passionate about Madonna as he is about Heidegger. His stories inhabit this island’s grey area, between life and death, India and England, success and failure, and hope and despair.

He has written a collection of new short stories entitled Elephant, which is shortly to be published by Silver Age Books. He has also produced a collection of book reviews about novels he has liked reading and stealing ideas from.

In keeping with his name, he is harshly critical of his own work, and refused to allow one interesting but flawed short story to be included in the collection. However, he has allowed us to make the story available here on the Silver Age Books website: Liquid Sleep.
